Zwembad.be is one of the largest e-commerce providers when it comes to chemicals and accessories for maintaining your pool. Producing chemicals, packing orders and sending those shipments undeniably has an impact on our environment.
In collaboration with the Willy Naessens Group, of which we are part, we try to keep our footprint as small as possible.
After a thorough analysis of our CO2 emissions, the Willy Naessens Group is fully committed to actively reducing these emissions. This initiative extends to all companies within the BUILD sector, including our webshop, with the motto: "If we do something, we do it completely". The Group works closely with its own Research & Development department and suppliers to find more sustainable solutions. You can find all the details and certificates here.

The Willy Naessens Group stands for sustainable entrepreneurship. Its entrepreneurship is based on vertical integration, diversification and CO2 reduction. 'We reduce and offset our CO2 emissions as much as possible, on our way to net zero', says Chief Sustainability Officer Kris Vanrenterghem.

Electricity consumption
Intensive efforts are also being made to make transport and electricity use more sustainable. Currently, 300,000 m² of solar panels have already been installed, and green electricity is maximised in the buildings through heat pumps. In time, we also want to switch to purchasing renewable energy.
Energy neutral
Further initiatives include making transport more efficient, using geothermal energy, electrification and installing charging stations. The Group's ambition is clear: to be fully climate neutral by 2050. Although the focus is on reducing emissions, the Group currently offsets all its remaining emissions through certified projects offered by Climate Neutral Group.

As a leading webshop with a strong commitment to sustainability, it is essential for us at Zwembad.be to handle our packaging materials responsibly. This is why we use FSC-labelled cardboard for our shipments.
The FSC label, issued by the Forest Stewardship Council, guarantees that the cardboard used comes from forests that are managed responsibly and sustainably. This means that tree felling takes into account biodiversity, the rights of local communities and the protection of fragile ecosystems.
By choosing FSC-labelled cardboard, we contribute to the protection of forests worldwide and reduce our ecological footprint. Moreover, we reassure our customers that their purchases are packaged and shipped in an environmentally friendly way.

Transport
For shipping our parcels, we also work with a partner who is committed to sustainability. Our carrier, DPD, is making numerous investments in order to be completely climate-neutral by 2040. For instance, they are already fully engaged in deploying electric vehicles.
